Stewardship
Stewardship, or sharing the gifts God has given you, is a Christian
discipline as much as prayer, reading scripture, serving others, and worship.
The sharing of our gifts come from the belief that all gifts ( time, talent and
treasure) come from God. These gifts need to be cherished, nurtured, and shared
with others. God has entrusted us to use our gifts and respond with thanksgiving
to those opportunities that further God's work in the world.
As disciples, we accept the call to follow Him without considering the
consequences. We faithfully place everything in God's hands. We accept our
vocation as disciples of Jesus Christ, who are invited and challenged to
make stewardship a way of life. As Catholics, we hear Christ's call to
follow Him through prayer, worship, faith formation, ministry and the
sacraments.
"Stewardship is an expression of discipleship, with the
power to change how we understand and live out our lives."

St. Lawrence Church is more than a place to visit once a week. It is an
ongoing source of spiritual strength and a center for learning, teaching and
sharing our faith experience. Most importantly our parish is a community of
believers where what is experienced in the Eucharist transforms our daily
lives at home, in the workplace, and in society. Every man, woman, and child
is called to care for and share God's gifts. Our stewardship of time, talent
and treasure provides opportunities for spiritual and personal growth by
serving God through unselfish and prayerful outreach to others.
